A beginner's Guide: Re.rockspace.local WIFI Extender Configuration

A wireless signal of any router can be extended to get full signal coverage. It may even reach the dead-spot area of your house. Re.rockspace.local setup is an offline setup process. You need to follow some of the essential guidelines to configure and install your Rockspace local wireless range extender. Rockspace WIFI extender setup can also be done via the WPS button.

Additionally, if you wish to have good WIFI coverage and signal strength, position the antennas accordingly. Once done with the Rockspace local login process, then check the status of the connected router. Also, check the status of connected WIFI and client devices. While you get this page, you can change the new login name and password. Here, in order to save and implement any settings, reboot your range extender.

Notes and tips:

  • The signal LED colour will help you to locate the extender. So observe them carefully.

  • The Blue LED indicates the proper position of your Rockspace extender setup device.

  • If you get a Red signal LED, then consider moving the extender closer to the router.

  • Off LED colour indicates no connection between the router and the extender.

  • In this case, relocate your Rockspace WIFI extender to an appropriate location.

Steps to do Re.rockspace.local range extender configuration

Insert an Ethernet cable into the WAN slot available on your Rockspace Extender. The other side of this Ethernet wire will be inserted into the WAN of your modem. The next step requires connecting the LAN port of the extender and computer. This section uses a different Ethernet cable to join the two networks. Then turn on the devices.

  1. At first, turn on the modem connected to the Re.rockspace.local. After that power on the Rockspace local device. At last, power on the computer.

  2. To connect the devices with the power slots, use the respective power adapters of the three devices. Thereafter, plug them into nearby power outlets.

  3. If the power LED of your Rockspace extender is not lighting, then press the power button. It is stuck behind the repeater.

  4. Hence, press the power button of the modem also if the LED is not pulsing. At this stage, it is better to connect to the extender unit through wifi only.

  5. Just look for the new SSID which can be like Rockspace xx where "xx" could be any number or digit.

  6. For this, you should enter a temporary password given at the label of the WIFI extender. The label is given on the extender itself.

  7. The label on your Re.rockspace.local WIFI extender contains the IP address. Moreover, you get the default web address also for the Rockspace local login process.

  8. www.re.rockspace.local is a login web address. It is used for the Rockspace Extender login and setup process.

  9. http://192.168.0.254 is the IP address used to log in directly. The web page for automatic configuration will appear here.

  10. If it does not happen, then type http://Re.rockspace.local login in the Addy of the browser. The browser can be any of your choices.

Furthermore, initially, your WIFI repeater can resolve the issue of possible IP address conflicts. While the main unit is using the IP address 192.168.1.254 then the modem will use another IP address. If the modem is using 192.168.1.254 then the Rockspace WIFI extender setup will use a private IP address.

On the login window, you need to enter temporary user details. Like ADMIN for both username and password. You may use PASSWORD for the password field and admin will remain the same for the SSID field.
